Garion had slain the evil God Torak and been crowned King of Riva. The Prophecy was fulfilled - or so it seemed. While the strange child Errand was growing up in the Vale of Aldur with Polgara and Durnik, showing only occasional flashes of inexplicable knowledge and power. Garion was learning to rule and to be the husband of his fiery little Queen Ce’Nedra. Eleven years passed.
Then suddenly the Voice of Prophecy cried out a warning: “Beware Zandramas!” Not even Belgarath the Sorcerer knew who are what Zandramas was. But Garion discovered hints in a previously obscured part of the Mrin Codex. Worse, he learned that the Dark Prophecy was still waging its ancient struggle against the Prophecy of Light. Again, Garion found himself a pawn, caught between the two ancient Prophecies, with the fate of the world somehow resting upon him.
Hmmm… So what happened before this? Find out in The Belgariad series.
Whatever it was, it wasn’t enough. The fight between Good and Evil continues. Of course, Good wins. Or does it? Is there such a thing was Evil?

By the time I got to The Mallorean, I was almost burnt out on Eddings. Six books in one week can do that to a person. It’s still a very good book, and, even more amazing in my mind, the style still is the same! One might argue that Eddings has only one style, but that’s not true. He just has one style for each character… and that, my friend, is how it’s supposed to be. Unless, of course, the character undergoes a massive personality change - such as being possessed by an evil spirit. So, long story short I enjoyed Guardians of the West.

This is going to be the same throughout the entire series… Why should it be different?
