Interesting ending. It wraps up too tidily. Only the bad guys die, and all of the good (main characters at least) are safe. Those we thought were dead are not, and somehow the kitchen scullion becomes king AND gets the girl he wants. Too tidy. And not enough explaining. Or maybe the fault was in BORING explanations so that I skipped over.
